Info on the Trip!

It's summer and Australia is on Holidays. We, like everyone else, love to have FUN! Even more, to share it around. That's exactly what we will be doing these holidays between Boxing Day and January 5th - 11 days and 2,300klm of Kite Surfing, White Water Rafting and any other kind of fun we can fit in - all powered by Biodiesel.

This will be a clear demonstration of how enjoying the environment does not have to destroy it!

Joshua Tickell (Author of "From the Fryer to the Fuel Tank") is coming to Australia to visit his birthplace. He will also be joining us for the trip and helping show as many people as possible the benefits of Biodiesel. Joshua and his “Veggie Van” have become a cultural icon in the USA – During his 20,000km vegetable oil powered trip around the USA, he entertained consistent coverage from CNN and logged over 1 million visitors to the Veggie Van web site at www.veggievan.org

Along with Joshua will be part of the Biodiesel Association of Australia team - Alex Sanz (Mad Kite Surfer and Extreme sports enthusiast), Adrian Lake (Founding member of the BAA and Adventurist) and Penny Laine (Graphic Designer and Adventurist).

When asked why Kite Surfing and biodiesel? “As a group, we are passionate about renewable energy and the environment. We decided earlier this year that a demonstration of biodiesel would be highlighted with some of our other passions – powered by nature or us. You might call this the Ultimate Renewable Energy Adventure!” - said Adrian Lake.

Both vehicles will be powered by Biodiesel. Alex will be driving a 3 tonne 4WD truck and Adrian will be in a Toyota Landcruiser. 

Both vehicles are perfect for trekking around Australia. 4WD to get almost anywhere and they both run perfectly on a renewable fuel that is made from Vegetable oil or Animal fat!  Talk about "living off the fat of the land"...
